Pen Computer Systems (PCS) is an organisation that understands eHealth. This requires knowledge in the use (not just the theory) of eHealth standards and terminologies. We have built tools and infrastructure to support the efficient development of eHealth solutions that will be compatible with the direction that governments and government agencies, such as the National eHealth Transition Authority (NEHTA) are now articulating. These tools include web services and messaging systems, decision support engines, and communication tools to support interoperation with other systems.

The move to a future which sees an electronic health record for all Australians demands that patient health information in its many forms and locations must be progressively brought together to provide a coherent health record to support efficient care delivery for patients when they require health services.

Our eHealth team includes system architects, business analysts, software engineers, QA personnel, and project managers that can design and build custom systems for health services. What we build for our customers will be designed to fit in with clinical workflows and have the capability for integration with other parts of the health system in the future.
