  • Dr Thomas Wenkart, CEO and Chairman, Macquarie Health Corporation: Tom is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Macquarie Health Corporation Limited (MHC) and Chair of Pen CS Pty Ltd. Dr Thomas R Wenkart graduated at the University of Sydney in 1968 as a Medical Practitioner. He entered General Practice and developed a multi-practice medical group. From that beginning, he initiated activities in the health sector resulting in Macquarie Health Corporation Limited. Since 1978, MHC has grown into Australia’s third largest private hospital group with 11 hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne. Other significant roles have been in the AMA, PHA and hospital politics, computers in medicine, medical biotechnology and related investments. In 1976, he established the Health Care Research Institute and the Wenkart Foundation which supports the Arts and Health Sciences. In 2007, the Wenkart Foundation established the Wenkart Chair of the Endothelium at Sydney University and the Centenary Institute. Tom is a board member of CareMonitor, Ocean Health Systems and City of Sydney Eisteddfod amongst other companies. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health.
  • Dr Amith Shetty, Clinical Director Patient Experience and System Performance Division, Ministry of Health NSW: Amith is an Emergency physician and Clinical Director in the Patient Experience and System Performance Support division at NSW Ministry of Health. He has been a Medical Director of Hospital in the home service is Western Sydney and Clinical adviser to eHealth NSW. He is also the Medical chair of NSW Emergency Care Institute Research Advisory Committee. He has clinically co-designed the Sepsis screening programs for NSW and helped design and implement several innovative models of care and digital analytics programs in NSW health. He has led international evaluations on sepsis screening and his passion remains in developing augmented rather than automated clinical decision support tools for safe use in clinical practise. He continues to keep engaged in clinical activities through stints at rural Australian EDs and international charity missions.
  • Edweana Wenkart, CEO, Pen CS:  Edweana is the Chief Executive of Pen CS, Australia’s market leader in providing patient to population health informatics in primary care. Pen CS works with 28 of 31 Primary Health Networks and more than 6,000 general practices and Aboriginal medical services. Pen CS technology solutions are used to drive data-driven quality improvement that support healthcare providers and deliver better patient outcomes.  Edweana is a member of the Australian Institute of Digital Health and Medical Software Industry Association.  She holds an MBA from AGSM and Bachelor of Arts from University of Sydney. Prior to her role at Pen CS, she founded and managed an award-winning public relations and marketing agency Tsuki for 13 years after a successful career in feature film production working on movies including The Matrix and Australia. Edweana is a Board Member of both Ocean Health Systems and CareMonitor.
