The prestigious HISA Don Walker Award was presented to John Johnston, Managing Director of PCS at the HIC 2009 Conference in Canberra. The award was presented for the PCS Clinical Audit ToolTM which has risen to market leadership as an adjunct to GP clinical desktop systems in 2 years. CAT is now installed in more than 70 Divisions of General Practice and in many Aboriginal medical services as part of a strategy to improve the quality and completeness of patient data, improve coverage in chronic disease prevention and management, and identify practice business opportunity.

Two other Donnys were presented, one to Karen Dearne of the Australian for her investigative journalism in e-health and the other to Graham Grieve, architect from Kestral, who has dome remarkable work achieving harmonisation of disparate e-health standards on the international stage.
