Does identified information leave the general practice?
Pen CS complies with Australia’s Privacy Act and all of its amendments. CAT4 de-identifies the information within the practice prior to submitting the de-identified extract to PAT CAT.
Where is the PAT CAT data stored?
The data is stored on the clients own servers. De-identified data extracts are sent directly from the practice to the client’s PAT CAT server.
Does Pen CS collect any patient data?
Pen CS does not collect or store any clients clinical data. All clinical data is sent from CAT4 directly to the clients own PAT CAT server.
How do I map the data in PAT CAT?
PAT CAT has geo-spatial mapping tools that were jointly developed by Pen CS and the Australian National University (ANU) that enable aggregate data to be shown securely on maps using statistical areas. PAT CAT utilises a specialised geocoding system developed by the ANU called G-Tagging that enables meaningful mapping of health data whilst ensuring patients are not linked to any addresses or co-ordinates.
