doctorportal Learning, created by the AMA, launches CPD App for GPs to support ongoing learning matched to both the GP’s personal requirements and the needs of your practice and patients.
The new doctorportal Learning Continuing Professional Development (CPD) App on Topbar is now live. It features accredited peer-reviewed self-paced online learning modules and qualifications, as well as a range of upcoming masterclasses, conferences and events.
As a GP, you can click on the CPD icon in Topbar that links you directly to the CPD Learning catalogue with dynamic search functionality and easy to download Certificate of Completion. You can utilise the effortless CPD Tracker and upload your own CPD evidence, receive guidance on your CPD requirements for your college(s), and track points against almost any specialty. You can even complete Advanced Life Support online, it is that convenient!
Available online 24/7, the CPD App helps you manage your CPD and meet your ongoing reporting obligations.
“This is the first step in data-driven learning. It’s a game changer,” says Dr Thomas Wenkart, Chief Executive of Pen CS. “Now Doctors can be presented with the relevant learning module for their patient’s immediate treatment, during consultation,” continues Dr Wenkart.
GPs can target learning areas to practice population needs with no extra work or time investment. Once the patient prompt is set up, for example by the Practice Manager or Nurse, it will automatically appear.
Time pressure, the impact of a growing day-to-day workloads and the increasing burden of financial viability puts greater demands on GPs than ever before. The CPD App provides relief for GPs. It helps structure ongoing learning in accordance with GPs personal requirements and the services necessary to meet the evolving needs of their patients and community.
GPs can access the CPD App on Topbar automated decision support platform for free if they are in a licensed PHN catchment area. For further details contact your local PHN.
